sorry i asked on your main account. can i have the image of bomberman flipping off the reader
Bomberanonymouse! I apologize for the wait, but I’ve got the full version of the 4-koma that glorious image comes from. It’s from page 7 of the Super Bomberman 5 4-Koma Gag Battle Anthology.
jelloapocalypse asked: Hey there! This isn't so much a formal ask, but I'm a huge fan of Bomberman Jetters and I just recently discovered that they released a Blu-Ray with a drama CD of an "episode 53" back in 2016. I saw a post of yours mentioning the possibility of a translation of that. Not sure if that ever happened, but I'd be absolutely delighted to see one if it's still on your radar! If not, that's cool! Thanks for all your hard work!
Episode 53 is definitely still on our radar! The thing is that we have someone else besides the local translatorminion working on that translation, and at the moment they’re currently busy with school so they haven’t been able to finish it. As for myself and the local translatorminion, we certainly have our hands full with just the BMJ manga alone, to say nothing of other projects (Bomberman or others), work, and life in general. Who knew that love of Bomberman alone doesn’t pay the bills!!
However! I know people have been waiting patiently for this (did that box really come out FOUR FUCKING YEARS AGO?! smh), so I can at least offer the basic premise of the episode in the meantime. Shirobon is frustrated by how hard Shout is working him at the ramen shop, but remembers Shout telling him (back in episode 52, for us following along at home) that once he grows taller than her, he’ll become the leader of the Jetters. Conveniently, it turns out that the Hige Hige Bandits are after a unique chocolate bar that will supposedly increase a person’s height by one meter without anyone noticing…
Anonymous asked: These comics are awesome! When’s your next update?
Hello there! Thank you for your interest, and massive apologies about the delay in answering! Both translatorminion and I have gotten caught up in other thingamabombs, and translatorminion in particular has just started a new job that he needs to get used to. So bombertranslations (and our other translations, tbh) are on hold for the moment while we figure things out. I’ll be checking in with him in a month to see where he’s at with his free time and energy reserves, and we’ll decide what to do from there.
I’m not sure which translations you were interested in, but our priority at the moment is the Bomberman Jetters one-shot manga volume. After that, we might tackle the other volume of Bomberman 64 4-komas. Assuming that, like, SBR doesn’t come out with a manga or something in the meantime. o____o;;
(I mean, SBR is made for a manga/anime, but we don’t need more projects to do — )
Anonymous asked: Have there been any translation or scanlation of the Manga Kingdom Bomberman 4-koma books? Are there plans to do any if not?
As far as I know, there’ve been no translations or scanslations of those particular books, buuuuut I would love to be proven wrong!
While those books are technically on our to-do list (I currently own vols. 2-4 of the series), it’s likely going to be a veeeeery long time before we can get to them. Honestly, we’ve got no problems with someone else tackling those if’n they wanna!
Bomberbuddies! Dynapals! Nitronakama! I know it’s been a good long while, but we are super hype to finally bring you this project!
Go For It!! Bomberman Jettersis a single-volume gag manga from 2004 based on the Bomberman Jetters anime. The individual chapters were originally serialized in CoroCoro Comic, a monthly manga magazine aimed at elementary school boys (younger than the target demographic of shounen manga). You’ll find no surprisingly deep explorations of grief and loss here: it’s pure comic insanity from page 1. Here’s the translated summary from the back cover:
Shirobon has dreams of being a hero. He and his friends receive a request to do battle with the evil Mujoe in order to protect a special meteorite, but could their wild pursuit of justice just be a wildly huge annoyance to everyone else instead? A single-volume gag manga that’ll make you explode with laughter!
The chapters will be both hosted on MangaDex to read online as well as offered for download on Mediafire from here. Distribute as you like – just don’t claim as your own work or remove the credits!
The main story, such as it is, spans eight chapters in total, and then there’s a bonus ninth chapter featuring a certain someone from the games who didn’t actually appear in the anime proper. That’s exciting…right?
As always, if you’ve got anything to say for whatever reason, feel free to drop us an Ask!
aurantia-ignis asked: Hello! I recently found out about the existence of the Drama CD bundled with the Bomberman Jetters bluray. May I ask if you'd be willing to upload and share the tracks? I love this series, and I'm really excited to hear what they wrote for the 53rd episode. While I'd love to be able to buy the set myself, some places seem to no longer have the CD included... I'll be willing to do translations for the drama CD too, but it's okay too if you don't feel comfortable sharing! Thank you!
Hey-o, friendo! We were going to upload both the drama CD and the Blu-ray booklet once we’d translated both, but if you’re willing and able to do the drama CD translation (or the booklet translation), IM this account and we can talk about it!
